We design, engineer and prototype physical products in our own lab. Then we stay with you at the factory until the first production run matches the sample you approved.

Most product failures happen in the hand-offs: designer to engineer, engineer to factory. We keep all of it in one room.

You hold it before the factory cuts steel.

Most studios hand over files and hope. Our designers work next to a prototype lab, so every design is tested in the hand before a factory spends your money on a tool.

CTQ

Critical-to-quality features marked on a physical sample the factory keeps, so "matte finish" can't be misread.

What the lab does

  • Looks-like and works-like prototypes
  • Fit, feel and function tested before tooling
  • Pilot batches of 50–300 parts for creators, retail pitches or campaign videos
  • A labelled reference sample the factory builds to

What we don't claim

  • Lab parts are not production parts. Final gloss, texture and tolerances come from the factory tool.
  • A sample doesn't replace the factory's own T0 and T1 trials.
  • Safety and certification testing always go to an accredited third-party lab.

You work directly with Karim.

"The person who sketches your product is the person on the call with the factory."

I’m Karim, an industrial designer and product developer with over eight years of experience across electronics, healthcare, transportation, fashion, toys and interiors.
My focus is on creating products that work well, look right and are built to last, with an international perspective shaped by projects in Europe and across the world.
I’m also the co-founder of Modifox, a modular running-shoe system, and I opened VOCCEL Design Lab in Vilnius in 2024. Over the years, I’ve helped bring more than 100 products from concept through to production.

FAQStraight answers

Questions founders ask first.

Anything else, ask on the call. You'll get a direct answer, including "that's not for us".

How much does product design cost?

It depends on how new the product is. As a guide, a design-for-manufacturing review starts at €1,200, industrial design from concept to surfaced CAD starts at €5,000, and complete development through the factory starts at €12,000. Tooling is paid to the factory and quoted separately.

After a 30-minute call you get a fixed-price proposal within 48 hours.

Who owns the design, the CAD files and the tooling?

You do. The IP transfers to you on final payment, and the factory's tool order names your company as the tooling owner. We keep the right to show the work in our portfolio, anonymised if you ask.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes, before you share anything. We also help you put an NNN agreement (non-disclosure, non-use, non-circumvention) in place with your factory.

Do you manufacture the product?

No. We design it, prove it in our lab and manage the factory until the golden sample is signed. You buy production directly from the factory.

Do you design electronics or handle certification?

Not in-house. We work with specialist electronics partners and accredited third-party test labs, and coordinate them inside one plan. We never claim test results ourselves.

How long does product development take?

A focused change to an existing product takes 6 to 10 weeks. A new body on proven internals takes 10 to 16 weeks. A clean-sheet product takes 6 to 12 months, most of it tooling and sampling.

Where are you based, and which time zone do you work in?

We work on Eastern European Time (UTC+2) from Vilnius, Lithuania. Our morning overlaps with factory afternoons in China and with the working day in the UK and EU.
